If necessary, you can change many aspects of your {{#tlo}}user profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}account settings{{/rr5}}. If you are not already on the {{#tlo}}User Profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}Account Settings{{/rr5}} screen, you can get there by {{^phone}}{{#web}}clicking{{/web}}{{^web}}tapping{{/web}} Your Username in the upper right-hand part of the screen, then selecting Account Information.{{/phone}}{{#phone}}tapping Menu, then tapping your username and choosing Account Information to go to the main Account Options screen. On that screen, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} {{#tlo}}User Profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}Account Settings{{/rr5}}.{{/phone}}

Note: Any fields that are marked with an asterisk on the {{#tlo}}User Profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}Account Settings{{/rr5}} screen are required. All other fields are optional.{{#mobile}} In offline mode, your {{#tlo}}profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}settings{{/rr5}} can only be viewed, not edited.{{/mobile}}{{#tlo}} The profile features may not be available in all versions of the program and are not available for guest accounts.{{/tlo}}

To use the Account Information section of the {{#tlo}}User Profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}Account Settings{{/rr5}} screen:

  1. Check the Username field to display your username. You should use this username when you log into the program. Usernames cannot be edited.

  3. Type or edit your full name in the Name field. Names can be up to 64 characters.

  5. Type or edit your email address in the Email field. If you sign up to receive any email notifications from Transparent Language, they will be sent to this address. Your email can also be used for password recovery.

  7. Select a role in the Primary Role field. Your primary role determines which portal appears by default when you log in: If you select Learner or Other, the Learning Portal will appear by default. If you choose Instructor, the Instructor Portal will appear by default. If you choose CLPM, the Admin Portal will appear by default. However, you will have access to all standard {{#rr5}}CL-150{{/rr5}}{{#tlo}}program{{/tlo}} features regardless of your selection.

  9. Use the Grading Scale menu to select a grading scale (ILR, ACTFL, CEFR, or ADLPRS), then view the scores and the test expiration date you have stored for that scale. It is possible to have scores and/or a date stored for more than one scale. This information cannot be edited.

  11. Type or edit your phone number, including area code, in the Phone Number field.

  13. Select your time zone in the Time Zone field. The program will track your daily learning goal by measuring how much time you spend in learning activities during each 24-hour period from midnight to midnight in the time zone selected here. Consult Understanding Learning Goals and Streaks.

  15. Click Copy to Clipboard in the Rollover Code field to copy the rollover code for this account. This code can be used to merge this account with another using the Account Rollover feature. If you use this code during an account rollover, the learning data from this account will be transferred to the other account, then this account will be deactivated. After you have copied the code, you will need to log out of this account, log into the account into which you want to transfer the data, then paste the code into the appropriate field in the Rollover from Another Account section of the Account Settings page for that account to complete the rollover.

  17. If you are an instructor or an administrator, use the Default Login Portal menu to select the portal that you want to appear by default when you log into the program. You will still be able to switch between portals at any time. This menu may not appear for learners, who only have access to the Learning Portal.

  19. If any other fields appear in this section, select the appropriate information for them. (Some organizations may request additional profile details.)

  21. {{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} Download My Personal Data to download a .csv file that lists the personal data which Transparent Language Online currently has stored for you.

  23. When you've finished making changes to the account information, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} Save in that section. If you leave the screen without saving, your changes will be lost.
  24. If you wish to cancel your account and exercise your right to be forgotten, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} the Forget Me link and follow the instructions on the screen. If you choose to be forgotten, Transparent Language will retain your user data for 30 days. If you change your mind during this period, you can stop the process of being forgotten by logging into your account. If you haven't logged in within 30 days, your account and all your learning progress will be PERMANENTLY forgotten. At that point, the action cannot be undone. Consult Exercising Your Right to Be Forgotten. Note: You can view the {{#tlo}}Transparent Language Online{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}CL-150{{/rr5}} Terms of Use and Privacy Policy using the links at the bottom of the {{#tlo}}User Profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}Account Settings{{/rr5}} screen.
  25. If the Link Your Account to Google option appears, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} Sign in with Google to link your {{#tlo}}Transparent Language Online{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}CL-150{{/rr5}} account with your Google account. Doing so will allow you to log into this program with your Google account, but you will not be able to use your original credentials to log in anymore. This option will not appear for all users.

To use the New Password section of the {{#tlo}}User Profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}Account Settings{{/rr5}} screen:

  1. Type your current password in the Current Password field.
  2. Type a new password in the New Password field. Passwords should be between 8 and 64 characters long and contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number. Unlike usernames, passwords are case-sensitive. Your new password cannot match any of your five most recent passwords. Some organizations may also require that the new password change at least four characters compared to the current password.
  3. Type the new password again in the Confirm New Password field.
  4. When you've entered both your current password and the new one, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} Save in that section. If you leave the screen without saving, your changes will be lost.
  5. Note: If you do not want to change your password at this time, leave all the fields in this section blank.

To use the Import Learning History section of the User Profile screen, if it appears:

  1. Enter the username for another account from which you want to transfer learning data into this account in the Username field in this section, then {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} Next.
  2. If the username you entered is found associated with more than one organization, select the organization with which you registered your account in the list that appears on the screen. (If the username is only associated with one organization, this step will be skipped.)
  3. On the new screen which appears, type the password for the account you are importing in the Enter the password field (not the password for your current account). If you have forgotten the password for that account, you can {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} Forgot the password? to have a reset email sent to the email address associated with that account.
  4. {{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} Import Learning History to begin the import process. All the lesson progress, course progress, and learned vocab items from your other account will be added to this account. The other account will then be deactivated.

Note: The Import Learning History section is not available for all users.

To use the Rollover from Another Account section of the Account Settings screen, if it appears:

  1. Enter the rollover code for another account from which you want to transfer learning data into this account in the Rollover Code from Other Account field.
  2. Note: To find the rollover code for your other account, log into the CL-150 with that account, {{#web}}click Your Username in the header, select Account Options, then click Account Settings{{/web}}{{#phone}}tap Menu, then tap your username and choose Account Options to go to the main Account Options screen. On that screen, tap Account Settings{{/phone}}. On the Account Settings screen, find the Rollover Code in the Account Information section. Copy or write down the code, then log out of that account and return to this one before entering the code.

  3. {{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} Start Rollover to begin the rollover process. All your lesson progress, course progress, and learned vocab items from your other account will be added to this account. The other account will then be deactivated.

Note: The Rollover section is not available for all users.

To use the Notification Settings section of the {{#tlo}}User Profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}Account Settings{{/rr5}} screen:

  1. If you want to receive Daily Refreshers that present your most stale vocab item to you every day so that you can refresh your memory of it, do the following:

  3. If you are enrolled in a class{{#rr5}} or Cohort{{/rr5}} and want to receive Assignment Due notifications whenever you have an uncompleted assignment due within 36 hours, do the following:

To use the the {{#tlo}}User Profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}Account Settings{{/rr5}} screen:

  1. Check the USERNAME field to display the username that you used to activate this app.
  2. Check the MOBILE PASSWORD field to display the password that you used to activate this app. Mobile passwords cannot be edited.
  3. Type or edit your full name in the NAME field. Names can be up to 64 characters.
  4. Type or edit your email address in the EMAIL field. If you use the Account Settings screen to sign up for notifications, they will be sent to this address.
  5. Type or edit your phone number, including area code, in the Phone Number field.
  6. Select your time zone in the TIME ZONE field. The program will track your daily learning goal by measuring how much time you spend in learning activities during each 24-hour period from midnight to midnight based on the time zone selected here.
  7. {{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} Download My Personal Data to download a .csv file that lists the personal data which Transparent Language currently has stored for you.
  8. After you've made all your changes, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} Save. If you leave the screen without saving, your changes will be lost.

To use the the {{#tlo}}User Profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}Account Settings{{/rr5}} screen:

  1. If you are not already on the Account Settings screen, go there by {{#web}}clicking{{/web}}{{^web}}tapping{{/web}} Account Settings on the App Settings screen.
  2. If you want to receive emails from Transparent Language, mark Yes under the question. If you do not want to receive emails, mark No.

At any time, you can also{{#phone}} tap Goal to check your goal progress, tap Notifications to display your notifications, or tap Menu and{{/phone}} do any of the following:
