Choosing Content for Hands-Free Autoplay

When you launch the Hands-Free Autoplay activities, you will need to specify what content to use with them.

The instructions for selecting content differ depending on whether you are practicing lessons or practicing learned vocab items. Information on both options appears below.

To choose content from lessons to use in the Hands-Free activities:

{{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} the All tab to display all available lessons, or {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} the Downloaded tab to display only lessons that have been downloaded for offline use. (Without an Internet connection, only downloaded lessons will be available.)
On either tab, browse through the possible content by {{#web}}clicking{{/web}}{{^web}}tapping{{/web}} the name of any category to display the subcategories or lessons it contains. Continue {{#web}}clicking{{/web}}{{^web}}tapping{{/web}} on subcategories until you reach a list of lessons.{{#mobile}} In offline mode, only lessons that you have already downloaded will appear.{{/mobile}}

Note: The automatic filters will hide any lessons that do not include the sound necessary to use Hands-Free Autoplay.

When you get to a list of lessons, do any of the following:

{{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}}{{^phone}} Play beside{{/phone}}{{#phone}} the name of{{/phone}} an individual lesson to launch Hands-Free Autoplay using just the content from that lesson.
Mark the checkboxes beside one or more lessons that you want to use in the activity, then {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} Play Selected at the top of the screen to launch Hands-Free Autoplay with the content from all the selected lessons. You can select as many lessons as you want, as long they are all from the same category. When you have no lessons selected, you can choose Select All in the Bulk Actions menu to mark the entire set of lessons. When you have lessons selected, you can choose Deselect All in the Bulk Actions menu to clear all your selections.
Tap and hold a lesson to select it, then tap other lessons to select them as well. When ready, tap Play Selected at the top of the screen to launch the activity with the content from all the selected lessons. You can select as many lessons as you want, as long they are all from the same category. The program will go through all three Hands-Free Autoplay activities with one lesson before going on to the next. (Note: The number at the top of the screen will tell you how many lessons have been selected, not how many suitable vocab items they contain.)
{{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} {{^phone}}Bulk Actions, then select Play All in the menu{{/phone}}{{#phone}}Bulk Actions and choose Play All{{/phone}} to launch Hands-Free Autoplay with the content from all the lessons in the current category. The program will go through all three Hands-Free Autoplay activities with one lesson before going on to the next.
{{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} beside a lesson, then select View {{^mobile}}Vocab{{/mobile}}{{#mobile}}Content{{/mobile}} to display the vocab items included in that lesson.

If you change your mind about using the activity, {{^phone}}{{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} in the upper right-hand corner to return to the Learning screen{{/phone}}{{#phone}}use the menu to switch to another screen{{/phone}}.

To choose learned vocab items to use in activities:

Do one of the following:

If you have an Internet connection, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} the ALL tab, then {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} the Learned Vocab category. This option will only be available if you have active learned vocab items that include the sound necessary to use Hands-Free Autoplay.
If you do not have an Internet connection and you have previously downloaded your learned vocab, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} the Downloaded tab, then {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} the Learned Vocab category. This option will not be available if your learned vocab has not been downloaded.

Do one of the following:

Stale vocab items will be played first, if you have any, then you will be given the option of continuing with fresh vocab items if you choose. Archived vocab items will not be included.{{#phone}} (Note: The number at the top of the screen will tell you how many learned vocab items will be practiced.){{/phone}}
{{^phone}}{{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} Play beside{{/phone}}{{#phone}}Select{{/phone}} the 10 Most Stale Vocab Items option to practice up to ten of your learned vocab items that have been stale the longest. If you have no stale vocab items, you can use this option to practice the learned vocab items that are closest to becoming stale. Archived vocab items will not be included. If you have fewer than ten, this option will let you practice as many as you have.{{#phone}} (Note: The number at the top of the screen will tell you how many learned vocab items will be practiced.){{/phone}}
{{^phone}}{{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} Play beside{{/phone}}{{#phone}}Select{{/phone}} the 10 Random Vocab Items option to practice up to ten randomly-chosen words or phrases from you learned vocab. These vocab items may be either fresh or stale. Archived vocab items will not be included. This option will only be available if you have at least four active learned vocab items that meet the requirements for the selected activity. If you have more than four but fewer than ten, this option will let you practice as many as you have.{{#phone}} (Note: The number at the top of the screen will tell you how many learned vocab items will be practiced.){{/phone}}
{{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{#mobile}}Tap{{/mobile}}{{#phone}}Select{{/phone}} the Selected Vocab Items option to choose the set of learned vocab items that you want to practice. You can choose as many fresh or stale vocab items from your learned vocab as you want. Consult Selecting Learned Vocab Items to Practice for details.

If you change your mind about using the activity, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} in the upper right-hand corner to return to the Learning screen.
When you've selected your content, tap Play at the top of the screen.

At any time, you can also{{#phone}} tap to check your goal progress, tap to display your notifications, or tap and{{/phone}} do any of the following:

Select Switch to Desktop Site to display the desktop version of this site instead of the mobile version. Be aware that some features may be difficult to use on a mobile device in this mode.
Select your username in the menu, then do any of the following:{{#tlo}} Select Account Information to view or edit your user profile.{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}} Select Account Information to change your account options.{{/rr5}} Select Change Language to change the learning language. Select App Settings to change settings associated with this app on this device. Select Log Out to log out of the program. (These options may not all be available for all accounts.)

Select My Assigned Goals in the menu to go to the My Assigned Goals screen, where you can view information on any weekly or monthly assigned goals set for you by an administrator. Consult Understanding Assigned Goals for details.
Select My Personal Goal in the menu to go to the My Personal Goal screen, where you can view information on your daily learning goal, streaks, and shields. Consult Understanding Learning Goals and Streaks for details.
Select Learned Vocab in the menu to go to the Learned Vocab screen, where you can view and refresh your learned vocab. Consult Managing Learned Vocab for details.

Tap in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, then select App Settings from the drop-down menu to change settings associated with {{#tlo}}Transparent Language Online{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}the CL-150{{/rr5}} on this device, such as push notifications. Consult Changing app settings for details.
Click KidSpeak in the top navigation bar, then do either of the following: Select Open KidSpeak to open the KidSpeak application. Select Copy Shareable Link to copy a link to the KidSpeak program that you can share with other Transparent Language Online users. Consult Sharing a KidSpeak Link for details. (KidSpeak is not available for all languages or all versions of the program.)

Depending on your language, you may find Facebook communities, X feeds, culture blogs, Word of the Day services, proficiency tests, and more. Consult Using the Resources Screen for details. Click Mobile Access in the upper right-hand part of the screen to display information on the mobile app associated with this program. (This option may not be available for all accounts.)
If you are logged in as an instructor or an administrator, click Learning Portal in the upper right-hand part of the screen and choose Instructor Portal or Admin Portal to access either of those portals. (These options may not be available for all accounts.)
Click the round flag button in the upper right-hand corner (for example, ) to change the interface language used for buttons, help files, and text on the screen. Note: The flag shown depends on the selected interface, so the appearance of this button varies. This setting does not affect the language you are learning.
Select Learning Language in the menu to change the language you are learning{{#tlo}}, if you have access to more than one language{{/tlo}}.
Tap your username in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to {{#tlo}}view and edit your user profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}change your account options{{/rr5}} or log out of the program.{{#tlo}} (In offline mode, profiles can only be viewed, not edited.) If you are using a trial account, the menu under your username will also tell you how many days remain in your trial.{{/tlo}}
Click in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to display your notifications. An indicator will appear beside the icon if new notifications have been added since the last time you checked. Consult Managing Notifications for details.
