As an alternative to using the possessive pronouns, possession can also be expressed by the use of a personal suffix attached to the noun, called an enclitic pronoun. These suffixes never carry the stress.

When the noun is qualified by an adjective or adjectives, the suffixed pronouns are added to the final word only, i.e. to the adjective:
"your small son" پسر خوردتان
Enclitics are used much more widely in informal speech than in standard speech.
