Dari, like English, uses a number of indefinite pronouns. Common indefinite pronouns include the following: فلان "such a one, so and so," بعضی "some," برخی "some," اندک "few, a little":
"such and such a person went" فلان کسی رفت
"some books" بعضی کتابها
"give a little time" اندک وقت بدهید
The indefinite pronouns فلان "such a one" and اندک "few, a little" can be strengthened by the indefinite ی:
"So and so came."فلانی آمد
"They thought a little." اندکی فکر کردند
When used as a noun بعضی can take از "of", and can be plural:
"some of them" بعضی از آنها
"Some are here" بعضی ها اینجا استند
برخی "some" is usually used with از "of ":
"some of you" برخی از شما
The Interrogative pronoun کدام "which" can be also used as an indefinite pronoun with the meaning "any":
"It hasn't got any sense in it". کدام معنایی ندارد
