The Verb رفتن "to go" as an Auxiliary Verb

Forms of speech with the imperfect, imperative, and present forms of the verb رفتن "to go" as an auxiliary verb are becoming rather widespread in contemporary Dari. This kind of model is used to denote any gradually developing and lasting action:

"The weather is getting warmer" هوا گرم شده می رود.

"The country was becoming poorer" کشور فقیر شده می رفت.
