The Verb گرفتن "to take" as an Auxiliary Verb

As a rule, forms of speech that use the verb گرفتن "to take" as an auxiliary verb carry the meaning of the onset of an action:

"The wind began blowing" باد وزیدن گرفت.

"The horse got running" اسپ دویدن گرفت.
