Particles

Particles are uninflected parts of speech most widely used in informal speech to introduce questions, negations, or to express degrees of confidence. Some of them are not only particles but other parts of speech as well.

The most widely used particles in Dari are as follows:

"Yes" بلی

"No" نه

"No" نخیر

"So" پس

"Well" خوب

"Even" حتی

"Only" فقط

"Let" بگذار

"If" آیا

The particles that have the same meaning are used interchangeably:

"No, he (she) didn't go." نخیر. او نرفت

"No, they didn't come."آنها نه آمدند..نه

"So, what happened? " پس. چه شده؟

"Let it be so." بگذار. اینطور باشد
