Prepositions

In English, a preposition can be defined as a word usually placed before a noun in order to indicateits relation to a verb, adjective, or another noun. Examples of prepositions are "at," "by," and"under." The blanket is under the tree.

The group of words (the preposition and its object) is called a prepositional phrase. A prepositional phrase can function as an adjective or adverb.

Dari also has prepositions (called true prepositions) and prepositional phrases.

In Dari, the preposition is placed before the noun.
