Using the Assignments Screen
The Assignments screen shows the assignments{{^phone}}, messages, and general information{{/phone}} for a class{{#rr5}} or Cohort{{/rr5}}.

Information on each major section of the screen appears below:

To use the{{^phone}} ASSIGNMENTS panel on the{{/phone}} Assignments screen:
{{#phone}}- Read the Total Assignments number at the top of the assignment list to see how many lessons are currently assigned to this class{{#rr5}} or Cohort{{/rr5}}. This number will change if the instructor adds or removes assignments for the class{{#rr5}} or Cohort{{/rr5}}. Expand that section if you want to see more detailed progress information. The information will show how many lessons you have not started, how many you have in progress (meaning they have been started but not yet completed), and how many you have completed.

- Use the list on the{{^phone}} left-hand side of the{{/phone}} screen to find the names of the lessons assigned to the selected class{{#rr5}} or Cohort{{/rr5}}. The icons beside the names provide additional information:
- To the left of the lesson name,
indicates a lesson that focuses on vocabulary,
indicates a course lesson or any other type of lesson, and
indicates an assessment.
- To the right of the lesson name,
indicates that a lesson is an assignment, and
indicates an assignment that has a due date. The calendar icon will be red
if the due date has passed.
- To display more information about a lesson, including the type of lesson, the category, and the learning language, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}
. To hide the additional details, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}

- Do any of the following:
{{#mobile}}- To download a lesson, tap
. This feature is not available in offline mode. Note: If lesson you are trying to download is part of a course, the program will display a message indicating that the entire course will be downloaded, not just the individual lesson. Tap DOWNLOAD on that message to complete the download. {{/mobile}}
- To open a {{#mobile}}downloaded {{/mobile}}lesson, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}{{^phone}} the button beside{{/phone}} it{{^phone}}, which may be LEARN, START, REVIEW, READ, or OPEN depending on the type of lesson{{/phone}}.
- To display the vocab items included in a lesson, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}
then {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} VIEW {{^mobile}}VOCAB{{/mobile}}{{#mobile}}CONTENT{{/mobile}}. (This option may not be available for all lessons.)
{{#rr5}}{{#web}}- To add a lesson to your RSS feed, click
then {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} ADD TO RSS FEED. This option will not be available for all lessons, and may not be available in all versions of the program. {{/web}}{{/rr5}}
- To mark a {{#mobile}}downloaded {{/mobile}}lesson as learned because you already know the words and phrases it contains, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}
then {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} MARK AS LEARNED. All the vocab items from the lesson will be added to your learned vocab, and the lesson will be considered completed. (Some classes{{#rr5}} or Cohorts{{/rr5}} may not allow this option for assignments{{#mobile}}, and it is not available for any lessons in offline mode{{/mobile}}.)
{{#web}}{{#rr5}} - To export a lesson the focuses on vocabulary as a .b4x file for import in other Transparent Language programs, click
then {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} EXPORT AS B4X. (This option will not be available for all lessons.) {{/rr5}}{{/web}}
{{#mobile}}- To delete a downloaded lesson from your device, tap
then {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} DELETE FROM DEVICE. The files for the lesson will be removed from the current device, although any words or phrases that you have learned from it will remain in your learned vocab. You can download the lesson again at any time. {{/mobile}}
- To share a link to a lesson with another user, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}
then {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} GET SHAREABLE LINK.{{#web}} You can copy the link to the Clipboard, then paste it in another program to send it to someone else.{{/web}} Consult Sharing Links to Lessons for details. (This option will not be available for all lessons.)
{{#web}}- To unenroll from a class{{#rr5}} or Cohort{{/rr5}}, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} the UNENROLL{{#tlo}} FROM CLASS{{/tlo}} link at the bottom of the list of assignments. When asked if you are sure, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} OK. Note: You may be asked whether to remove or keep the assignments from the class{{#rr5}} or Cohort{{/rr5}} in your learning path. If so, choose an option according to your preference. (Unenrolling is not available for all classes{{#rr5}} or Cohorts{{/rr5}}{{#mobile}} and is not available in offline mode{{/mobile}}.)

To use the PROFILE panel on the Assignments screen:
- Read the class{{#rr5}} or Cohort{{/rr5}} information presented in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

To use the PROGRESS panel on the Assignments screen:
- Read the Total Assignments number to see how many lessons are currently assigned to this class{{#rr5}} or Cohort{{/rr5}}. This number will change if the instructor adds or removes assignments for the class{{#rr5}} or Cohort{{/rr5}}.
- Read the detailed information below the total to see your progress on the assignments. The information will show how many lessons you have not started, how many you have in progress (meaning they have been started but not yet completed), and how many you have completed.

To use the MESSAGES panel on the Assignments screen:
- Do one of the following:

to display a list of new messages that have not yet been opened. Instructors may use messages to clarify assignments, add helpful info, remind you of due dates, and more, so you should check your new messages often.{{#mobile}} Note: Messages are not available in offline mode.{{/mobile}}

to display a list of messages that you have already read.

- If there are more messages than can be displayed at once, use the following options below the messages to navigate the list:

- {{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} Previous to go to the previous screen of messages.

- {{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} Next to go to the next screen of messages.
