Finite Verb Forms

Urdu verbs have two types of forms: finite and non-finite. Verbs in finite forms function as predicates in sentences. The finite forms include the tense forms for all four moods in Urdu: Indicative, Subjunctive, Conditional, and Imperative. The majority of finite verbal forms in Urdu are compounds. Usually such forms consist of participles and the verb 'to be'. The verb 'to be' is the only verb which has simple conjugated forms in the present.
