Number of Nouns

Korean normally does not distinguish between singular and plural nouns grammatically. Plurality can usually be deduced from the context.

However, plural forms are sometimes used to describe definite things. Plurals may be created by the affix "들" (사람들 - "people", 학생들 - "students"), by adding words like (여러 가지 "different", "various"), or by adding numerals.

Sometimes reduplication is used to refer to a group of separable subjects ( 집마다 - "every house", 집집마다- "houses").
