Urdu employs a variation of the Perso-Arabic alphabet with several additional letters. These
letters are: ٹ (Te), ڈ (Daal), ڑ (Re), and ں (nuun-gunna). They are used to represent the sounds unique to Urdu, which are absent from Arabic and Persian.
