Negative Pronouns

Negative pronouns are used only in negative sentences with a negative form of the predicate. Negative pronouns differentiate for animacy: 아무도 ("nobody") is used instead of animate nouns, and 아무것도 ("nothing") is used instead of inanimate pronouns.

Examples:

거기에는 아무도 없었다. "There was no one there."

그 일에 대하여는 아무것도 모른다. "I know nothing about it."
