Using the Browse Screen
The Browse screen allows you to browse through additional content and add lessons to your learning path. All the content available through the Browse screen is included with {{#tlo}}Transparent Language Online, at no additional cost to you{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}the CL-150{{/rr5}}, so feel free to explore it all!

To use the Browse screen:
- If you are not already there, go to the Browse screen by {{#web}}clicking Browse in the navigation bar at the top of the Learning screen or another screen.{{/web}}{{#mobile}}tapping in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, then selecting Browse.{{/mobile}}{{#phone}}tapping and selecting Browse.{{/phone}}
- When the Browse screen opens, it will display the categories that serve to organize the available content. {{#web}}Click Open in{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} the row for the category you want to open. If the category contains subcategories, {{#web}}click Open in the row for{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} one of them, and continue until you reach a list of lessons.
- Depending on your language and learning situation, the screen may show categories or subcategories for Assignments, Welcome Lessons, Courses, Quick Start Lessons, General Vocabulary, User-Created Lessons{{#rr5}} (which includes content created with the authoring tools){{/rr5}},{{#tlo}} Grammar & More References,{{/tlo}} and others.
{{^mobile}}- Some categories will have a description and/or tags to give you an idea of the level and content they include. Use this information to help you select appropriate content for your needs.

{{#web}}- If the button appears beside a category, you can click it to add all the lessons from that category to your learning path. This option may not be available for all categories.

{{^web}}- To display additional options for a category, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} . The additional options may include an Add to Path button to add all the lessons in the category to your learning path, and/or a Mark as Learned button to mark all lessons in the category as learned. These options may not be available for all categories.

- Once you have opened a category, read the information for each lesson it contains.
- If you don't find the content you want to work with, use the Search feature: {{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} and select the fields you want to search, then type the text you want to find in the Search field and {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} {{#web}}{{/web}}{{#phone}}{{/phone}}{{#mobile}}{{/mobile}}{{#web}} or press the Enter key{{/web}}.{{^phone}} If necessary, you can {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} to use the virtual keyboard while you type.{{/phone}} {{#web}}Click{{/web}}{{^web}}Tap{{/web}} {{#web}}{{/web}}{{#phone}}{{/phone}}{{#mobile}}{{/mobile}} to clear the search and return to the full list of lessons when needed. Note: Searches are not case-sensitive. To limit results to exact matches, put the search term in quotes. Otherwise, exact matches will be listed first, followed by partial matches. - When you find a lesson you want to use, do any of the following:
{{#mobile}}- To download a lesson, tap . This feature is not available in offline mode. Note: If lesson you are trying to download is part of a course, the program will display a message indicating that the entire course will be downloaded, not just the individual lesson. Tap Download on that message to complete the download.

- To open a {{#mobile}}downloaded {{/mobile}}lesson without adding it to your learning path, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}{{^phone}} the button in its row{{/phone}}{{#phone}} its name{{/phone}}.{{^phone}} This button will be Learn for lessons that have never been completed, Review for references and for lessons that have already been learned, or Start for assessments.{{/phone}}
- To add a lesson to your learning path, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}{{^phone}} beside it, or {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}{{/phone}} then select Add to My Path.{{#phone}} To add more than one lesson at once, tap and hold to select one lesson, then tap other lessons to select them as well, and finally tap the Add option that appears at the top of the screen when lessons are selected.{{/phone}} For some categories, you can also {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}{{#phone}} Bulk Actions then tap{{/phone}} Add All to Path to add all the lessons in the category at once. (None of these options will be available for references.)
- To remove a lesson from your learning path if it is already in it, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}{{^phone}} , or {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}{{/phone}} then select Remove from My Path.{{#phone}} To remove more than one lesson at once, tap and hold to select one lesson, then tap other lessons to select them as well, and finally tap the Remove option that appears at the top of the screen when lessons are selected.{{/phone}} The lesson{{#phone}} or lessons{{/phone}} will not be deleted, but will no longer appear in your learning path. Any words or phrases that you have learned from {{^phone}}it{{/phone}}{{#phone}}them{{/phone}} will remain in your learned vocab.
- To display the vocab items included in a lesson, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} then select View {{^mobile}}Vocab{{/mobile}}{{#mobile}}Content{{/mobile}} from the menu which appears. (This option may not be available for all lessons.)
{{#rr5}}{{#web}}- To add a lesson to your RSS feed, click then select Add to RSS Feed from the menu which appears. This option will not be available for all lessons, and may not be available in all versions of the program.

- To mark a {{#mobile}}downloaded {{/mobile}}lesson as learned because you already know the words and phrases it contains, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} then select Mark as Learned. All the vocab items from the lesson will be added to your learned vocab, and the lesson will be considered completed.{{^mobile}} For some categories, you can also {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}}{{#phone}} Bulk Actions, then tap{{/phone}} Mark All as Learned to mark all the lessons in the category at once. (These options may not be available for all lessons{{/mobile}}{{#mobile}} (This option may not be available for all lessons, and is not available in offline mode{{/mobile}}.)
{{#web}}{{#rr5}}- To export a lesson that focuses on vocabulary as a .b4x file for import in other Transparent Language programs, click then select Export as B4X. (This option will not be available for all lessons.)

- To download a PDF version of a lesson in the User-Created Content category, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} then select Download Lesson as PDF. (This option will not be available for all lessons.)
{{#mobile}}- To delete a downloaded lesson from your device, tap then select Delete from Device. The files for the lesson will be removed from the current device, although any words or phrases that you have learned from it will remain in your learned vocab. You can download the lesson again at any time. Some categories may also let you delete all the lessons in them from the device at once, using the Delete link beside the category when the Browse screen is showing category names.

- To share a link to a lesson with another user, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} then select Get Shareable Link.{{#web}} You can copy the link to the Clipboard, then paste it in another program to send it to someone else.{{/web}} Consult Sharing Links to Lessons for details. - To return to a previous category, {{#web}}click{{/web}}{{^web}}tap{{/web}} its name in the heading above the list of lessons.
At any time, you can also{{#phone}} tap to check your goal progress, tap to display your notifications, or tap and{{/phone}} do any of the following:
{{#phone}}- Select Switch to Desktop Site to display the desktop version of this site instead of the mobile version. Be aware that some features may be difficult to use on a mobile device in this mode.
