Present Conditional

The conditional of regular verbs is formed with the same stem used for the future, and the same endings as those of the imperfect indicative.

chanter (to sing) finir (to finish) vendre (to sell)
je chanterais je finirais je vendrais
tu chanterais tu finirais tu vendrais
il/elle chanterait il/elle finirait il/elle vendrait
nous chanterions nous finirions nous vendrions
vous chanteriez vous finiriez vous vendriez
ils/elles chanteraient ils/elles finiraient ils/elles vendraient

-er verbs with spelling changes in the future have similar changes in the conditional.

Some verbs have irregular stems in the conditional. These same verbs have irregular stems in the future.
