Conjunctions

Conjunctions join words, phrases, clauses and sentences.

Ja si ę ś mieję, a ty płaczesz.

(I am laughing, but you are crying.)

Daj mi klucz i moj ą torebkę.

(Give me the key and my purse.)

Ubierz sie dobrze, bo dzisiaj jest zimno.

(Dress well, because today is cold.)

Interrogative adverbs may also function as subordinate conjunctions, as in:

Nie wiem, gdzie on mieszka.

(I don't know where he lives.)
